What my eyes were never seeing

In the back of the house where the kitchen is, there is door. It is a blue wooden door, it leads to the backyard. But after all these years of using it I've never quite stopped to contemplate it as i did that Saturday morning as i was drinking my morning coffee. Its wood is no longer new or has that shine of freshly painted wood, but its still some firm wood. Its squeaky on the opening and on the way to close it too, the paint isn't worn out but it sure isn't as blue. The latch that secured it was starting to rust at the base, quite normal after all the years this door has had to face. The outside is just blue with two white lines, one at the very top and another at the bottom, no door knob or designs.
